Hand-Burned Merry and Bright Cutting Board

A small holiday cutting board, burned by hand in Wilmington, NC.

“Merry and Bright” is wood-burned into a striped hardwood board, with a leaping reindeer, little gifts, and snowflakes. The handle sits to the side, and the grain runs light and dark, so the burn sits a little different on every board.

In the set

• Cutting board, about 12" wide by 8" tall, with a groove around the edge and a hole in the handle for hanging
• Wrapped in plastic packaging

Just the right size for a cheese plate, a hostess gift, or a teacher thank-you. Spread and serve on it. Skip the heavy chopping so the lettering stays put.

Care

Hand wash and dry right away. Don’t soak it, and don’t put it in the dishwasher. A drop of food-safe mineral oil now and then keeps the wood happy.
